***This role is open to candidates around Ireland who can work remotely the vast majority of the time. However, the successful candidate MUST be willing to travel to the Dublin office for team meetings when requested (typically once a month) ***

We are searching for a Senior Manager of Cost Accounting for the Global Accounting team. This role will report to the Director of Global Accounting Operations. 

This role will lead and manage a team of 4 to 5 individuals in the Global Cost & Operations Accounting group, and will manage a team of offshore individuals who support this area through our outsourced vendor located in Kolkata, India.

 

Primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Provide leadership to the team to execute on all accounting and reporting activities, related to inventory, reserves, and transfer pricing for our manufacturing network, and to ensure US GAAP and other statutory reporting compliance in the related areas.
  • Partner with groups, such as FP&A, Supply Chain, Corporate Tax, Disbursements, and I.S. to ensure proper accounting of inventory. This includes site support.
  • Work with accounting management regarding proper application of US GAAP and company policies and procedures.
  • Serve as lead contact for Corporate External Reporting, Corporate Audit, External Auditors, and Tax Compliance to provide audit/reporting support and analysis.
  • Lead ERP and automation (including Robotics Process Automation) implementations related to Cost & Operations Accounting to ensure proper design, documentation, testing, and training of personnel.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctorate degree AND 2 years of finance or technical accounting experience

OR

  • Master’s degree AND 6 years of finance or technical accounting experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree or AND 8 years of finance or technical accounting experience

AND

  • 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA
  • Audit or Big 4 Public Accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong technical US GAAP knowledge in the area of Inventory
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills and be able to bridge culture differences
  • Detail oriented; strong business analytical skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work with a minimum level of direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead projects and work with cross-functional teams
  • Team/Contractor supervision experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with the general ledger system (SAP and S4 HANA)
  • Industry experience
