Electronic Manufacturing Technician

PE Global is currently recruiting for an Electronic Manufacturing Technician for a leading multi-national technology client based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

This is permanent opportunity.

Working hours 7:00 am until 2:30 pm.

There will be no shift work, however, overtime may be required.

Salary: 28-32K depending on experience

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for test, fault finding, and repair of various electrical and electronic systems and components.
• You’ll be working with the production team to help in the completion of tasks, including tool assembly, calibration, and testing with the production team comprised of assemblers, Mechanical manufacturing Technicians, and supervisors.
• You will be delivering a range of electrical and electromechanical tools.
• You’ll be testing electrical and electromechanical tools based on the procedure and interacting with MRP systems (SAP).
• You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing the test equipment used to test tools.

Education/Experience

• Further education in Electrical or Electronic engineering (e.g ONC, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 2)
• Proven ability to work successfully within design constraints.
• Experience using electronic lab equipment (Multi-meter, Oscilloscope, Low Voltage Power Supplies, High Voltage Power Supply (up to 400VDC), etc) to make measurements on and for test and debugging of electromechanical assemblies
• Good competencies with electronic technician tools and general test equipment.
• Capable of producing deliverable items from full drawing packs with minimal additional help to relevant IPC standards.
• Good electronic technician skills. Experience in; testing, low and high voltage experience, basic soldering, crimping, and assembly.
• Basic fault finding and rectification at system and component level.
• A good team player
