PE Global is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller for a leading multi-national client based in East Cork. This is a permanent role.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Partner with the clients Accounting COE in Ireland, support US GAAP closing process, ensuring the reported numbers are complete and accurate
  • Complete close activities for assigned countries, such as Job Description revenue recognition review, product returns reserves, bad debt reserve among others
  • Preparation and submission of statutory financial statements based on local laws under local GAAP principles for assigned area of responsibility
  • Ensure local GAAP ledger are maintained – ensuring a clear reconciliation is maintained between US and local ledger results
  • Support tax audits, as needed, closely collaborating with various SSC/COE centers in line with corporate guidelines
  • Maintain relationships with all 3rd party service providers
  • Participate in strategic continuous improvement initiatives in the organization, achieving identified goals (financial, process or talent)
  • Support Internal audit requests and engage with commercial teams to provide documentation requested
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations in the EMEA region, ensuring they comply to internal controls with a focus on backup and ageing of reconciling items
  • Implement recommendations following external and internal audits
  • Support preparation of monthly accounting accruals, business partnering with FP&A
  • Support the EMEA balance sheet hedge accounting process, including forecasting exposures and review of results
  • Promptly respond to information requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively manage workload and escalate inefficiencies and concerns to the Regional COE Manager


  • Professional recognized accountancy qualification
  • Experience with US GAAP, SOX
  • Experience in preparation of statutory accounts
  • MS-Office (advanced user of Excel), SAP experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working within matrix organisations
  • Ability to work using own initiative and strong communication
