Homecare Nurse Manager (Paediatric & Community Services)

 

Role Overview

Care Connect Group Ireland are seeking an experienced and motivated Homecare Nurse Manager with Paediatric and Community Nursing experience to lead and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within the homecare setting. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination and clinical management of care packages for children’s older persons and young people with complex healthcare/ Disabilities needs, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care within the community.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate homecare services for paediatric and community-based clients.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop personalised care plans.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to nursing teams.
  • Ensure compliance with NMBI standards, company policies, and clinical governance requirements.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and review care plans to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Liaise with families, hospital teams, GPs, public health nurses, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, competency assessments, and performance management of nursing staff.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting, and risk management practices.
  • Participate in service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide on-call clinical support as required.
  • Tutor experience or train the trainer qualification (need for City & Guilds)

 

Requirements

  • Active NMBI registration.
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-registration nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Paediatric Nursing and Community Care.
  • Experience supporting children with complex healthcare needs.
  • Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and case management skills.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available).
  • Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting.
  • Experience working with disability services and community healthcare teams desirable
