PE Global are working with a leading Agri-Engineering company to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Cork. This is a full time permanent role.

About the Company

Founded in 1978, the company has grown from a small family own business in one of Irelands leading Agri engineering companies and now employs more than 55 people, with sales, design, manufacture and support teams working to ISO-9001-2015 standard.

They specialise in the design and manufacture of superior quality, innovative livestock handling equipment for the Agri livestock sector.

The suitable candidate will be required to have :

• Experience in the design and layout of farm buildings and design for the animal flow required
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and being able to communicate job requirements clearly and concisely
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specify components and ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
• Research and develop ideas for new products. Prototype through to test
• Communicating with Marketing and Sales
• Including other duties as needed and assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of the principles of design, sketching, CAD, industrial materials and processes, manufacturing methods, and engineering
• Creativity and technical knowledge are essential
• Strong communication skills – visual, verbal, and written
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
• Strong knowledge of the agriculture sector
• Logically and technically minded with excellent organisational and personal management skills
• Knowledge of materials and ability to cost projects as required
• Incorporating the many disciplines in Mechanical Engineering. – incl Livestock handling, feeding and automated systems Animal welfare science, and safety
• Full clean driving license
