PE Global is currently recruiting for MSAT Scientist on behalf of our client based in North Dublin: 12 month initial contract

 

The Role
Our Biologics client is seeking to recruit a scientist within Manufacturing Science and Technology to support the operation of the downstream lab. The role will also provide a degree of support to both upstream and process analytics when business needs require. This is a 12 month contract lab-based role and will require consistent presence onsite. There will be the occasional need for weekend work (days only).

Key Responsibilities:
• Execution of all downstream process steps in the MS&T labs, including column chromatography, UF/DF and filtration
• Design of experimental approaches to address manufacturing challenges
• Support of upstream MS&T labs with bioreactor sampling and data collection
• Support of process analyics MS&T labs with execution of specific analytical assays
• Engagement with site safety and training programs to ensure compliance with metrics
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, QC, Regulatory, Supply Chain and other functions to support facility fit assessments, specification changes, technical evaluations and change management.
• Support troubleshooting of manufacturing process-related events and evaluate new process technologies using scale‑down models.
• Maintain knowledge of cGMP compliance, site requirements and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Degree in Biological or Chemical Sciences/Engineering preferred, with at least 1 year direct lab experience working in the downstream space
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret and communicate data. Ability to identify scientific/operational gaps and propose solutions.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and effective in a team environment.
• Specific experience in upstream or process analytics is not required, training will be provided
