REGISTRAR – ANAESTHETIC

Fixed Term Contract – (12 months) – Registrar – Anaesthetics

Applicants are invited for the post of Registrar – Anaesthetics . We’re dedicated to creating a sustainable department for high-quality patient care and work-life balance.  Applicants need GMC Specialist Register or CCT / EU equivalent within six months.

Main duties of the job

• Work alongside passionate colleagues with expertise in Critical Care, leadership, quality improvement, and regional anesthesia.
• Actively engage in ongoing quality improvement projects.

• Enjoy a flexible 1 in 10 second on-call schedule.
• Job plan includes 10 PAs initially, expandable to 12, and dedicated time for additional responsibilities and study leave.

Clinical Experience :

• Broad knowledge and clinical proficiency in Anesthesia, including obstetrics and pediatrics.
• Capability to work independently.
• Extensive training in major surgical procedures and pediatric anesthesia.
• Advanced airway management skills.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• MBBS 
• Full registration with GMC or Process of GMC
• Primary FRCA
• ATLS / ALS / APLS / PALS
• EDICM or equivalent 

Experience

Essential

• Substantial experience in anesthesia as a specialty doctor.
• Profound understanding of the NHS Constitution and its practical implications.

Desirable

• Previous NHS Experience.
