PE Global Healthcare is working with a prestigious hospital in Saudi who is looking for a Consultant – Paeds Emergency Medicine doctor who can speak Arabic

Job Purpose / Objective

The Consultant Pediatric Emergency Physician is responsible for delivering high-quality emergency medical care to pediatric patients, including assessment, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and follow-up. The role includes active participation in quality improvement, clinical governance, education, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency consultations and manage pediatric patients as per approved clinical directives.

  • Perform rapid assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing monitoring of pediatric emergency cases.

  • Admit patients when clinically indicated within approved privileges.

  • Prescribe medications and provide emergency therapies and procedures within scope of practice.

  • Communicate clearly with patients’ families regarding clinical findings, procedures, and treatment plans.

  • Coordinate referrals and provide consultations to other specialties as required.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation and authenticate electronic records.

  • Supervise and review the clinical work of junior medical staff and trainees.

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic emergency procedures as per granted privileges.

  • Approve discharge summaries, medical reports, and follow-up plans.

  • Participate in on-call duties, Code Blue responses, and other emergency activations as required.

  • Ensure compliance with clinical policies, protocols, medico-legal requirements, and medical ethics.

  • Contribute to quality improvement activities, audits, and clinical committees.

  • Participate in teaching, training, and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.

  • Promote patient- and family-centered care with compassion, respect, and dignity.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine within a tertiary care setting.

  • Subspecialty training is preferred.

Licensing & Certification

  • Board certification, fellowship, or equivalent in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Pediatrics.

  • Valid professional license from the country of origin, acceptable to the relevant health authorities.
