Our client, a growing and thriving business across Ireland the UK, is looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis in North Cork. Your role as Management Accountant begins with full oversight of all external financial reporting and compliance functions, leading a blended internal and offshore finance team. You will also get the chance to work with a reputable Finance Director who aims to provide an environment where employee’s thrive and progress.
The Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering all compliance, reporting, and operational accounting tied to external financial stakeholders and statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely, accurate filing/payment of PAYE, VAT, RCT/CIS, Intrastat (Ireland & UK).
- Maintain audit-ready records and compliance standards
- Record, reconcile, and report intercompany transactions.
- Adhere to transfer pricing rules and agreements.
- Review monthly intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare and present consolidated head office reports.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and provide variance analysis.
- Lead audits in Ireland & UK, providing required reconciliations and documentation.
- Oversee AP/AR across multiple entities and currencies.
- Manage ageing reports, collections, and supplier payments.
- Monitor COGS, material usage, waste, and margins.
- Highlight inefficiencies and support cost control.
- upport time tracking, shift planning, and payroll processing.
- Allocate labour costs and monitor staffing metrics.
- Lead short- and long-term cash flow and P&L forecasts.
- Prepare management accounts and liaise with finance partners.
- Manage 5-person finance team (Ireland & India).
- Set deadlines, review output, provide guidance, and build process-driven culture.
- Provide senior finance cover as needed.
- Track project costs vs. budgets and update profitability monthly.
- Support revenue forecasting and margin analysis.
- Analyse project margins for pricing decisions.
- Collaborate on supply chain cost control and financial risk reporting.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA
- At least 4 Years PQE in a similar environment
- Strong IT Skills. Experience in Accounting systems, Excel and Power BI desirable
- Experience working with cross boarder teams an advantage
- Budgeting, Costing, Forecasting and Variance Analysis
- The ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
