Our client, a reputable Construction & Engineering firm in Dublin, is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. The role offers a very competitive salary, benefits and significant career progression.

The Role:

  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of corporate income tax returns, ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

  • Advise Senior Management on complex tax matters, identify opportunities for tax optimisation, and develop strategies to minimise overall tax exposure.

  • Support Senior Management with matters related to global mobility and cross-border tax considerations.

  • Assist in handling internal and external tax audits and responding to tax-related inquiries as they arise.

  • Contribute to the preparation of both local and master transfer pricing documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and analyze changes in tax legislation and industry practices to ensure continued compliance and strategic alignment.

  • Mentor and provide training to junior team members to support their professional development.

  • Conduct ad-hoc tax research and analysis to address emerging or unique tax issues.

Requirements:

  • Hold a professional tax qualification (AITI/CTA or equivalent); ideally also qualified in accounting (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

  • Post-qualification experience in tax, preferably gained within a Big 4 or Top 10 public accounting firm and/or a multinational corporation.

  • Possess strong technical expertise in relevant tax laws and regulatory frameworks.

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational abilities.

  • Highly motivated with a personable and collaborative approach, enabling effective interaction with colleagues, external advisors, and key stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working independently, with the ability to quickly learn and manage time-sensitive tasks.

  • Proven capability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Skilled in analyzing complex tax matters and delivering practical, solution-oriented advice.

  • Strong academic or professional record that reflects commitment, ambition, and a drive for continuous improvement and excellence.
