PE Global Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Manager to join a leading engineering contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Europe. This is a permanent, site-based role in Frankfurt.

Role Overview

The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all commissioning (Cx) activities on a major data centre project. This role will involve managing package engineers, overseeing commissioning programmes, and ensuring all works are delivered in line with project milestones, contractual requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise package engineers across multiple systems
  • Define and allocate work scopes
  • Monitor progress and ensure delivery in line with programme
  • Communicate deadlines and commissioning milestones
• Lead the project commissioning programme, including milestone tracking and deadline management
• Ensure full compliance with contract documentation, project procedures, and commissioning protocols
• Plan and manage Vendor FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and FWT (Factory Witness Testing), including attendance where required
• Oversee commissioning scope for both CFCI (Contractor Furnished, Contractor Installed) and OFCI (Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed) vendors
• Act as a key point of communication for all commissioning stakeholders
• Attend and contribute to daily and weekly commissioning meetings with internal teams, vendors, and clients

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commissioning management role
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively with contractors and client teams on site
• Strong programme and deadline management skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced project environment
