Assistant Director of Nursing – County Galway

PE Global Healthcare in partnership with our client a Residential Care and Rehabilitation Centre based in Galway are recruiting an Assistant Director of Nursing to Support the Director of Nursing in the clinical and operational management of this 94 bedded modern care and rehabilitation facility in Co. Galway.

Full-time | Permanent | 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day management of clinical services

• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, policies, and procedures. Lead, mentor, and support nursing and care staff.

• Oversee clinical audits, care planning, and quality improvement initiatives

• Promote a high standard of person-centred care

• Act as senior clinical lead in the absence of the Director of Nursing

Essential Requirements 

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration

• Previous experience as Assistant Director of Nursing, CNM, or Senior Nurse (essential)

• Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and clinical governance

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Experience in elderly care, rehabilitation, or complex care is desirable

• Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria may not be considered.

• The ideal candidate will have senior leadership and strong clinical governance and people management experience.
