PE Global are seeking a Butcher or Butchers Assistant to work in a customer facing role.

This role will be based in our clients retail unit in the heart of West Cork.  Candidates will need strong experience, ability to work as part of a team and fluent or near fluency in English.

Key requirements:

• 2 years experience plus as a butcher or working on butchers counter
• The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to multi task under pressure
• A strong interest and knowledge of food and the ability to advise shoppers
• Previous experience in a customer facing role
• HACCP trained preferably or willing to upskill

Main Duties:

• Adhering to all HACCP and food safety standards
• Over counter sales and customer service
• Meat preparation
• Ensure merchandising, presentation and rotation of the stock is to the highest standard
• Helping with customer queries, including recipes suggestions and cooking advice.
