Opportunity Overview

PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting Clinical Perfusion Scientists for a leading acute hospital service in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly specialised cardiothoracic team, working within a busy surgical environment supporting complex cardiac procedures.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering a full range of clinical perfusion services, including:

• Cardiopulmonary bypass management
• Intra-aortic balloon pump support
• Autologous cell salvage
• On-bypass haemofiltration
• Blood gas management & coagulation monitoring
• TEG analysis and interpretation
• Post-cardiotomy ECMO support

You will also participate in a 1:4 on-call rota, including weekend coverage, supporting a 24/7 emergency cardiac service.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

• Accreditation with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain & Ireland (or equivalent)
• Current registration as a practising Clinical Perfusion Scientist
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience
• ECMO experience (highly desirable)
• Must have permission to live and work in Ireland ( this is an agency role and does not offer sponsorship) 
• Ability to work independently, including during out-of-hours emergencies
• Access to transport
