My Client, a growing and well known SME in Cork, is looking to recruit a Company Accountant on a permanent basis. The role works alongside the MD of the company and leads a small Finance team. Salary is dependent on the experience of the candidate and benefits can be negotiated on an individual basis.
The Role:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and file VAT, payroll taxes, and corporate taxes
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and perform month-end closings
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and legal requirements
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Fully Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA,CPA or CIMA
- 2 Years PQE in a similar role
- Practice experience applicable
- Experience with Accounting Packages essential
- The ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
