PE Global is working with one of Ireland’s leading renewable energy and sustainability organisations to recruit Energy Engineers / BER assessors (domestic & non-domestic) to join the team.

As part of its continued growth, the organisation is expanding its multi-disciplinary team and is seeking qualified BER Assessors to support a growing client base.
Whether you are newly certified or an experienced BER Assessor, this is an opportunity to join a team with a proven track record of working with some of Ireland’s largest developers as well as individual clients requiring BERs for property sales or rentals.
Roles are available throughout Ireland, with the company’s main office located in Carlow.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to upskill in additional areas of building performance and compliance testing offered by the company, including:

Job Description
Undertake both desktop-based calculations and on-site surveys of domestic buildings to determine the parameters for inputting into the SEAI DEAP software to calculate the BER & potentially compliance with Part (L) of dwellings.
This requires a hybrid approach to work with a flexible ability to deal with on-site professionals as well as engage with members of the public in their homes.
The BERs will be used to advise on Ratings for sale/rental, Energy Audits, Technical Assessments and Home Energy Assessments via the One Stop Shop system etc.
Responsibilities
- Work within established business practises to attend customers homes & building sites to survey in accordance with SEAI guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare BERs & other Reports in line with best practise & Regulatory Compliance
- Work to a set schedule which will be populated by the Company
- Efficiently work through projects to provide feedback and reports in a reasonable time manner
- Be clear in communication with customers as to the purpose of the survey & follow up reports
Qualifications
- QQI Level 6 course – Building Energy Rating (BER) of Dwellings
- Competency in the use drawing packages such as AutoCAD/IES/SketchUp and the capacity to measure buildings from provided drawings as well draw surveys where required.
- Good familiarity with MS Office – particularly Word, Excel & Outlook
- Ideally Degree in Building Surveying (or similar), Cert or Diploma in Construction Studies
- Open to candidates with a trade background, willing to upskill
- Full Driving License
- Good knowledge of the materials of construction and building service
- Knowledge of Irish building regulations
Location
Travel will be a feature of this role. This role will be a blend of site-based, office-based and remote working.
