The role

Financial Accountant required for 12 month contract HYBRID role with an innovative Dairy manufacturer based in Co. Cork, the purpose of this role is to become a key member of the finance team & liaise between the finance team and operations across a range of value creating activities.


Responsibilities of the role


  • Lead month end accounts close and management accounts preparation including all balance sheet reconciliations and profit/loss analysis. Follow up and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.

  • Variance Analysis – monthly management accounts must be reviewed for accuracy and reasonableness to identify any deviations from forecast.

  • Prepare and circulate weekly finished goods reconciliations for retail products, suggest process improvements and work with area managers to reduce variances.

  • Reconcile finished goods stock to third party warehouses and other finished goods locations weekly/monthly as required.

  • Lead internal controls function, ensure compliance across site, recommend control improvements and ensure adequate reporting.

  • Collaborate and maintain stakeholder relationships with cross functional departments – Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial etc.


Education & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant, ACCA or CIMA.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience.
  • Communicate effectively at appropriate levels within the business; verbal & written communication.
  • Committed to act in order to attain a demanding objective & show strong focus, care and attention to detail in all tasks.
