About the Company

Our client is a rapidly growing solar PV company based in Cork, delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions across the residential and commercial sectors. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Lead Solar PV Roofer to join their team.

Role Overview

The Lead Solar PV Roofer will take responsibility for overseeing rooftop solar installations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will lead installation teams on-site while remaining hands-on in all aspects of roofing and PV mounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise solar PV roofing installations on residential and commercial projects

  • Install mounting systems, roof hooks, rails, and panels in line with design specifications

  • Ensure all works are completed in compliance with health & safety regulations

  • Conduct site assessments and identify any installation challenges

  • Coordinate with electricians and wider installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery

  • Train and mentor junior roofers and installers

  • Maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail on all projects

  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used effectively and safely

Requirements

  • Proven experience in roofing, ideally with solar PV installation experience

  • Strong knowledge of different roof types (tile, slate, metal, flat roofs, etc.)

  • Experience leading teams on-site

  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling (essential)

  • Working at Heights certification (desirable)

  • Full, clean driver’s licence

  • Strong understanding of health & safety practices

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (advantageous)
