Salary: In line with HSE Senior Radiographer Salary Scale (DOE)

We are a Tier 1 supplier to the HSE and are currently partnering with a leading acute teaching hospital in Dublin to recruit an experienced Senior Radiographer – Mammographer to join a high-performing Breast Imaging service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mammographer who is passionate about patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and contributing to service development within a progressive hospital environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of a high-quality Mammography and Breast Imaging service, supporting both clinical and operational functions within the department. Working closely with Clinical Specialists and the Radiography Services Management team, you will contribute to service efficiency, staff supervision, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will organise, supervise, and perform mammography imaging and interventional procedures in line with departmental protocols, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical practice. You will support the day-to-day operational management of the service, assist with staff education and training (including undergraduate and postgraduate students), and actively engage in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

You will ensure full compliance with radiation protection legislation, health and safety standards, and professional guidelines, and report any equipment issues or clinical concerns promptly. From time to time, you may deputise for a Clinical Specialist Radiographer within your area of expertise.

Essential Requirements

  • Registration on the Radiography Division of CORU

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification clinical experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Mammography

  • Proven clinical competence and ability to work autonomously

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-working skills

  • Commitment to patient safety, service quality, and professional development

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Mammography
