Children’s Disability Network Team 5 (CDNT 5)

Location: Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
Contract: Temporary – Until End of 2026
Hours: Full-Time (35 hours per week) – Part-Time Considered
The Opportunity
Children’s Disability Network Team 5 in Clonmel is seeking an experienced Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team until the end of 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a progressive Children’s Disability Network Team supporting children and young people with complex needs in a collaborative, family-centred environment.
Full-time hours are available; however, part-time arrangements will be considered for suitable candidates.
About the Service
CDNT 5 operates within South East Community Healthcare, delivering interdisciplinary services to children with complex developmental needs and disabilities.
The team is based at:
South Tipperary Therapy Services Centre (Meehan Complex)
Grounds of St Luke’s, Glenconnor Road, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
You will work as part of a dynamic MDT including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work and Nursing colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and intervention for children with complex developmental needs

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, family-centred model

  • Contribute to care planning and goal setting

  • Support parents and caregivers through education and advice

  • Supervise and support junior staff where appropriate

Essential Requirements
  • CORU Registration as a Speech & Language Therapist

  • Senior-level experience (minimum 3 years post qualification)

  • Experience working with children with disabilities / complex needs

  • Strong communication and team-working skills
