Social Work Team Leader – Clonmel

PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting an experienced Social Work Team Leader for an exciting opportunity based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker who is ready to take the next step in their career and provide leadership, guidance and support within a dedicated social work team.

The Role

As Social Work Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality social work services, providing professional leadership and ensuring that children, young people and families receive a safe, effective and person-centred service.

You will work closely with Social Workers and other professionals, providing supervision, guidance and support while contributing to service development and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and supervision to a team of Social Workers
• Support staff with complex cases and professional decision-making
• Ensure high standards of social work practice are maintained
• Promote a child-centred and family-focused approach
• Support effective case management and risk assessment
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards

Requirements

• Recognised Social Work qualification
• Current CORU registration
• Significant post-qualification experience in Social Work
• Previous experience in a senior or leadership role is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of child and family social work practice
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills
• Ability to provide effective supervision and professional support to staff
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
