We are currently assisting our client with hiring a Tax Accountant. This role will be responsible for providing oversight, strategic planning, and reporting associated with the global tax structure of the organization. This company is a fortune 500 company with massive expansion plans for Cork. This role has a Hybrid working model and great opportunity for further career progression.
The Role:
- Manage the tax compliance preparation for US taxation of international operations including the following: Forms 5471, 1118, 8858, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993, 926 and related disclosure statement and elections
- Assist in the preparation of GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F and Foreign Tax Credit calculation as applicable
- Assist with income tax provision calculations for US International operations
- Identify income tax issues and new legislative requirements on an ongoing basis, research applicable tax law and communicate conclusions both verbally and in writing
- Assist in the management of transfer pricing worldwide and cross border intercompany transactions and arrangements
- Assist with M&A activities
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a Big-4 firm or multi-national company with increasing responsibilities; experience managing people required;
- Experience in both public accounting and corporate tax departments is preferred;
- Knowledge of transfer pricing issues common to multi-national technology companies;
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and cross functional teams;
- Independent and self-driven with the ability to find solutions in a fast-paced environment;
- Growth mindset and willingness to embrace change;
- Result oriented;
- Working knowledge of worldwide taxation issues including general IP concepts and transfer pricing as well as strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax concepts;
- Willingness to take on new challenges, learn independently and be part of a dynamic tax team;
- Organized, self-motivated with a cooperative attitude;
- Strong accounting, analytical, documentation and research skills;
- Ability to identify and drive process improvements
