PE Global in partnership with a state-of-the-art specialised rehabilitation unit, and a residential treatment centre that provide outstanding treatment and state-of-the-art support to adults with severe and enduring mental health needs are currently inviting applications for a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (CNM3) to play an integral role and make a significant contribution in the area of inpatient mental health treatment and care.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Nursing and accountable to the Director of Nursing, this role is a full-time permanent position based in South Dublin working a 39 hour week, Monday to Friday, covering core hours between 8am – 6pm.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (CNM3) role will have overall responsibility for ensuring high standards of patient safety and quality care through expert oversight of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Medical Emergency Responses, and for leading, delivering, and implementing a SafeWards model across the Hospital.

Education/Experience

Essential:

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role working with a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in infection prevention and control.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering staff training.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • A commitment to further study in the areas of IPC and SafeWards to ensure skills and knowledge are up to date, relevant, and compliant.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention & Control, Nursing Management, SafeWards, or related field.
  • Experience in SafeWards model and quality improvement frameworks.
  • Proven track record in audit and risk management.
