Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Payroll Associate to join our Dublin team, ensuring precision, compliance, and excellence in every payroll cycle.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Compensation & Benefits, and other key partners. You’ll work side-by-side with the existing Senior Payroll Associate to deliver seamless payroll operations, continuous improvement, and a first-class employee experience.
What You’ll Do
- Manage weekly payroll operations and data submissions to our third-party payroll provider. (end to end) (and monthly, when required)
- Act as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees, HR, and business partners.
- Partner with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Audit HR data in Workday and Softworks to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as a super user for the Time & Attendance system — owned by HR — supporting system queries and data accuracy
- Collate and validate weekly (and monthly, when required) payroll amendments and inputs.
- Oversee timely and accurate transmission of payroll files and payments to third-party vendors.
- Monitor and liaise with the payroll vendor to ensure high-quality service delivery and support periodic contract reviews.
- Review expense claims in Concur for tax compliance.
- Support year-end activities, including reconciliations, internal payroll reporting, and audit preparation.
- Prepare and deliver payroll-related reports such as ESA and Gender Pay Gap submissions.
- Lead or contribute to ad-hoc payroll projects including system enhancements, process automation, and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate closely across HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Stock Administration, and Tax to ensure data accuracy and timely issue resolution.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Payroll Procedures Manual.
- Support Talent Mobility, ensuring compliance for international transferees and expatriates.
What You Bring
- Significant experience working with payroll and time & attendance systems.
- Recognized payroll qualification (IPASS or equivalent).
- 3+ years’ experience processing complex Republic of Ireland payrolls.
- Proven track record in a senior payroll role within a high-volume environment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing, benefits, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion with confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with third-party payroll vendors (advantageous).
