Assistant Psychologist

As Tier 1 suppliers PE Global is recruiting for an Assistant Psychologist based in Laois.

You will be working as an integral part of a dynamic Interdisciplinary Team to support children with complex needs arising from a disability. 

The team operates within a Family Centred model of support. The post holder is responsible to the Children’s Disability Network Manager. Supervision is provided by a Senior Psychologist

Essential Criteria:

• A Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) accredited qualification at not less than a Level 8 at 2.1 honours grade on the QQI qualifications framework in which psychology was a major subject.

OR

• A Level 8 honours degree in another subject (2.1 or higher) together with an accredited conversion qualification at a minimum of (2.1) as conferring eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland

• Previous voluntary or paid experience working with children

Desirable Criteria:

• Manual Handling training

• Children First Training

• Demonstrated evaluation and research skills

• Relevant training in areas specific to therapeutic interventions for children 0–18 years

• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience

• Master’s degree in a relevant area of Psychology
