About the Role

As a member of our Buy Desk Team, the Contracts Manager (Buy Desk) supports our business partners and requests with project processing.  We are one of the “purchasing paths” along with our Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Contracts teams.  We are targeted with reviewing, negotiating, and processing large volumes of projects, with an end-to-end contract lifecycle approach, and doing so with accuracy in an expedited manner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review, redline, draft, negotiation, and processing of multiple contract types
  • Engage with the internal business partners to gather required data for sourcing projects or other initiatives
  • Ensure detailed accuracy of contract / project information and data content in the systems
  • Train & provide appropriate guidance on contracting principles and processes.
  • Facilitate integration of select supplier information into relevant information systems
  • Multi-task processing of high-volume contracts
  • Project management as a liaison for assigned projects including ensuring Buy Desk requirements are accounted for
  • Communication of the project and project status to relevant stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities that will expedite and simplify the procurement and contracting process for repetitive use and willingness to bring new perspectives to the team for procedural enhancement
  • Persuasive ability to align business partners to uphold appropriate contracting methodology and recommended parameters
  • Responsible for end-to-end contract lifecycle proficiencies and cross-training of business partners
  • Engagement with S2P (Source to Pay) initiatives within the Global Procurement Organization as a team liaison.
  • Development responsibility of assigned category tools & resources and alignment with business partner coordination

 

About You

Core / Primary Qualifications

  • Advanced contract management / contract negotiation and drafting of legal terms & conditions experience required
  • Proficiency with strategic procurement, sourcing, supply chain life cycle essential
  • Eight (8+) years’ experience in contract lifecycle management, or applicable legal environment strongly preferred
  • Business, finance, procurement, supply chain, or related degree program experience is advantageous
  • Proficiency in use of contract management software, electronic procurement, supply chain and /or analytical software
  • Proven negotiation, drafting, and redline skillset a must
  • Demonstrate initiative to self-diagnose and problem solve a broad range of project related issues
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word
  • Strong oral, verbal, presentation and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of strategic sourcing, supply chain, business management and procurement operations
  • Strong analytical, and business process analysis capabilities
  • Ability to engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented, practical environment
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and drive team initiatives as assigned
  • Sound business judgment with strong cross-team coordination skills
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask with strong organizational skills
  • Metrics and results oriented
  • In office requirement mandatory with a minimum of 50% of the time, remote flexibility thereafter.
