Principal Accountabilities:

Reporting to the API Maintenance & Reliability Lead will have specific responsibility for the ownership and successful operation of the following M&I business processes.

  • Under the direction to the API Maintenance & Reliability Lead assist in the overall development, implementation and day to day operation of the Maintenance system.
  • Development of the PPM system including writing job plans and developing maintenance frequencies. Liaises with the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer on implementation of the PdM program.
  • Operation and execution of the PPM Change Control System.
  • In conjunction with the API Maintenance Manager and API Operations Scheduler
  • Coordinating the Work Scheduling process to ensure site specific targets on PM & CM backlog management are achieved.
  • May act as a second level ‘Gatekeeper’ after the Operations Gatekeeper to review incoming work requests ensuring data accuracy, correct work type and to manage CM Backlogs.
  • Actively plans CM work orders by visiting job sites, booking/ordering materials, writing task lists, performing risk assessments etc.
  • Works closely with contract providers to plan work requests that require vendor assistant e.g. Mechanical & Electrical contractors.
  • Works closely with the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to develop and communicate relevant KPI’s for the maintenance team e.g. PPM Compliance %, Overdue PM’s, Schedule Adherence, MTBF,
  • Planning, estimating, co-ordinating all aspects of maintenance and project activities associated with the Annual Summer Shutdown.
  • Support the API Maintenance & Reliability Lead in the development of the equipment annual review and support the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer in the development of periodic OOT trend report.
  • Support and assist the API Maintenance & Reliability Lead to implement maintenance best practice methodologies/technologies including LSS processes e.g. creation of standard work for routine maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with Project Engineering and the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer on criticality assessments and developing new maintenance strategies/plans for new assets.

 

Plant Annual Shutdown Planning process:

  • Carries out all planning and scheduling for the Annual Summer Shutdown. The Planner completes the following activities: –
  • Schedules shutdown review meetings between all departmental and contract groups.
  • Develops detailed work plans and schedules for all departmental and contract work activities.
  • Procures material, tools and equipment for work activities.
  • Plans and schedules contract work groups.
  • Co-ordinates and plans all interrelated departmental and contract work activities.
  • Co-ordinates and plans plant and equipment availability with IPT Mechanical Coordinator and the Utilities co-ordinator.
  • Compiles Maintenance shutdown report for inclusion in site report.
