PE Global is recruiting a Planning Manager for our client based in Kent. The role is an initial 9-month contract and the rate is £25 P/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Master Production Schedule (0–13 weeks) and Sales & Operations Planning (3–24 months)
- Oversee order book management, scheduling, and order fulfilment processes
- Lead and optimise inventory management, including aged and slow-moving stock
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Implement and track KPIs to measure planning and inventory effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning and scheduling processes
- Manage and support the Customer Service team to ensure excellent client communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with site and business objectives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a planning or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of GMP and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proactive, driven, and focused on continuous improvement
