Automotive Test Engineer

PE Global is recruiting for an Automotive Test Engineer for our electronics manufacturing client in Limerick. This is an initial 6-month contract, fully onsite role.

Responsibilities include,but not limited to:

Automotive BMS /Wireless BMS are very complex solutions, designed and engineered by >100 engineers to an ASPICE model. Verification of those solutionsis as critical as the design. It requires excellent system understanding, system verification thinking and close teamwork with Hardware + Software design, System Applications, System Architecture and Quality teams.

• The Systems Test engineer is responsible for driving the systems test effort of our key programs and will work with the system architect(s) and designers to understand the requirements, specifications, and implementations to prepare and execute suitable validation plans.
• Define a long-term test roadmap of capabilities, flows and methodologies to continuously improve productivity.
• Creatively plan to test the systemin corner caseswhere potential marginalities and issues couldarise above and beyond the given specifications.

Consult on requiredhardware system boardsand software to automate the test casesto achieve best coverage and the highest efficiency.

Minimum qualifications:

Minimum BSC or BENG in Electronic or Computer Engineering; MSEE or MSCE.

In our growing team we are looking for several candidates from graduates to experienced engineers

Experience and Skills:

• Understanding of Systems Engineering and/or formal testingof complex (ideallyautomotive) systems
• Experience with AUTOSAR-based developments advantageous.
• C/C++ (embedded) and Python or other programming/scripting languages.
• Excellent hardware and softwaretroubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Software Compiler/debug tools, for exampleIAR/Keil/Segger
• Experience with software revisioncontrol, repositories, and regression testing(for example Git, Bitbucket, SVN)
• Knowledge in analog and mixed-signal board design and layout
• Comfortable with Spectrum/logic analyzersand oscilloscopes and other hardwaredebug tools
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in differentfunctions.
• Clearcommunicator with excellentverbal, written and organizational skills.
• Motivated, proactive, fast learnerand hands-on

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience in automated silicon verification
• Background in automated Softwareand System Verification
• Experience in wireless networking or RF
• Experience in the development or verification of functionally safe products
• Experience of requirements management (JAMA, DOORs etc.)
• Background in Functional Safety
• Background in Cybersecurity
• Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers (Cortex-Mx or Cortex-Rxseries)
