PE Global are working with one of Irelands leading construction companies to recruit a Senior VAT Manager to join the team. This is a full time, permanent role.

The Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join their Head Office team in Kill, Co. Kildare. Reporting to the Head of Tax (UK&I Division), you will oversee Irish and UK VAT compliance, systems development, and advisory matters.

You will enhance VAT reporting processes and controls, manage indirect tax compliance (VAT, RCT, Intrastats), and provide strategic VAT advice on complex transactions and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and develop VAT compliance processes across the UK&I Division in line with local and international laws.
  • Strengthen data management and control systems for VAT, RCT, and Intrastat reporting.
  • Oversee preparation and review of all Irish and UK indirect tax returns.
  • Provide indirect tax guidance across the business to ensure consistent compliance.
  • Advise on cross-border VAT and customs implications for multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Manage interactions with Irish Revenue and HMRC.
  • Support business transformation and tax advisory projects.
  • Monitor tax policy and legislative changes, ensuring business impact is understood.
  • Collaborate with Group Tax, Finance, Legal, and Treasury teams to optimize tax efficiency and cash flow.

What You Bring

  • Experienced tax professional with a strong background in indirect tax within Irish and multinational environments.
  • ACA or CTA (or equivalent) qualified, with strong Irish and UK VAT knowledge (RCT experience an advantage).
  • Proven analytical, numerical, and communication skills, able to explain complex tax matters clearly.
  • Strategic thinker with attention to detail and initiative to drive process improvement.
  • Strong collaborator and relationship builder across finance and non-finance teams.
  • Positive, proactive, and solution-focused attitude.
