The role of Production Operative will see the successful candidate individual to operate as part of the workshop/ assembly production team. The responsible person is required to operate in an efficient manner with the ability to balance multiple assignments throughout the day. Please be advised you may need to work from either our Carrigtwohill or Little Island locations as required due to changing needs of the business

The objective of the Production Operative is to:

  • Follow all production instructions as issued by senior management or the production supervisor.
  • Comply with all gowning procedures and instructions to minimize contamination and to maintain the high-quality standards set by protocols.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes as set out in the employee handbook and in production operative contracts.
  • Document all work records in a complete and timely fashion.
  • Liaise with production supervision and design personnel on projects where required.
  • Undertake cleaning and maintenance duties as requested and authorized to do so.
  • Adapt to everyday production issues and report any significant problems such as material defects etc. to the appropriate production managers.
  • Attend necessary work related and health & safety related training for the company.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations, quality management system and company policies.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Complete all work instruction training shortly after commencing the role as production operative. (Located in the Work Instructions folder on server)
  • Ferruling – welding ferrules to products
  • Cutting – using cutting equipment for cutting out of products.
  • Impulse welding – assembling products
  • Frequently use a range of manufacturing machinery to follow project specifications while operating equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
  • Comply with health & safety procedures daily.
  • Keep record personal sign/out times and communicate these to supervisor.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
  • Contribute to waste management systems.
  • Assist in the training of new staff.
  • Comply with quality control measures through the inspection finished products to ensure of no defects and high quality is achieved.
  • Packaging of finished products for delivery to clients.
  • Managing multiple different assignments on a daily basis.
  • Possibility of overtime to meet project requirements.
  • Report to manager for any reassurance had on any production matter.

Hourly Rate:€15.45 per hour
