PE Global is currently working with a mid-sized construction organisation based in Dublin to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. This is a full time, permanent role.

Position Overview:
This organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the cost aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all cost-related aspects of construction projects, including cost estimation, budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and issuing purchase orders.
- Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and identifying any variations or claims.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle, implementing effective strategies to mitigate risks and maximize value.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities, optimizing project costs without compromising quality or performance.
- Evaluate and assess changes to project scope, cost, and schedule, and negotiate fair and equitable adjustments as necessary.
- Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, providing insights into project performance and highlighting any deviations from the budget.
- Resolve disputes and claims in a timely and amicable manner, minimizing the impact on project progress and relationships with stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior members of the quantity surveying team, fostering their professional development and ensuring the highest standards of performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. A professional qualification such as RICS or SCSI is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Irish construction industry.
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive and results-driven approach, with a strong commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
