Director of Nursing

PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Director of Nursing for a national Healthcare Client based in Dublin.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ensure all Staff Members contribute to the best of their ability towards the efficient operation of the Nursing Home and to the creation of an atmosphere conductive to the best interests of Residents.
• Interact with Residents to ensure that that their health care and social care needs are met and that a resolution to any problem is found. Ongoing liaison with all external Health care disciplines regarding Residents’ care needs.
• Report in adherence with Company Policies and Procedures any ill-health amongst Residents and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary.
• Ensure meals are of sufficient quantity and good quality and that Resident’s dietary needs are met, liaise with Catering Manager to this end.
• Undertake general nursing work & personal care as appropriate.
• Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the necessary records as per NMBI guidelines and Company policies and procedures.
• Take responsibility for auditing Nursing documentation to ensure best practice. Residents’ EPIC files should be systematically reviewed and signed off.  

Education/Experience

• Current N.M.B.I. Registration
• At least three years’ experience nursing older people in the last six years
• Three years’ experience in a management capacity
• A post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent
