Clinical Director – Forensic Psychiatry

I am recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director with a specialism in Forensic Psychiatry.

Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist – Clinical Director
Location: Dublin – Remote

About the role:

• Work closely with the Clinical Directors of ID and MH Services and all Consultant Psychiatrist colleagues.
• Oversee and implement measures to meet regulatory standards and compliance with the Mental Health Commission.
• Provide cover for Clinical Directors & Consultant colleagues’ periods of leave as necessary.
• Taking clinical responsibility for patients who are residing in community based and ID residences and centres.
• Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation, and treatment of individuals with complex needs and forensic risks across both ID and MH services.
• Contributing to clinical governance for the services provided at both Approved Centres when covering annual leave and contribute to the development of service strategy as required.

Requirements:

• Valid IMC specialist registration in psychiatry or be eligible for registration.
• Right to work in Ireland. Work permits may be available for suitably qualified doctors.

What’s on offer:

• Outstanding salary of €235,000 to €265,000 depending on experience.
