PE Global Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance professional to join our client, a renowned Semi-State home energy retrofit entity based in Dublin. This is a permanent, secure position. This role would suit someone from a Plumbing or a building surveying background.

Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of quality and compliance throughout all phases of home energy retrofit projects. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and upholding the company’s commitment to excellence. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform comprehensive inspections at various stages of home energy retrofit projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Evaluate the quality of materials, workmanship, and installations to identify any deviations or deficiencies.
  3. Document inspection findings accurately and thoroughly, including photographs and detailed reports.
  4. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  5. Conduct site visits to verify the completion of work and ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
  6. Review documentation related to SEAI grant applications and verify eligibility criteria are met.
  7. Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding quality assurance best practices and regulatory compliance.
  8. Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and standards.

Requirements:

  1. Trade or engineering/surveying background.
  2. Proven experience in quality assurance or inspection roles within the construction or energy sector.
  3. Familiarity with building codes, energy efficiency standards, and regulations relevant to home retrofit projects.
  4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Proficiency in using inspection tools, software applications, and Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Certification in quality management or related disciplines (e.g., ISO 9001) is advantageous.
  8. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites within the Dublin area.
